Publisher

Nicola Gulley. Nicola is publisher of Compound Semiconductor magazine and compoundsemiconductor.net, and she is responsible for the applied physics group at IOP Publishing. She has been with the company for 10 years and has a PhD in atomic and molecular physics from Manchester University, an MSc in sound and vibration engineering from Southampton University and an applied physics degree from Brunel University.

Editor

Mike Hatcher. Mike is the editor of compoundsemiconductor.net and Compound Semiconductor magazine. He has a BSc in chemistry and a PhD in laser spectroscopy from the University of Wales, Swansea. He has been a science and technology journalist since 1998.

Richard Stevenson. Richard is the features editor for Compound Semiconductor magazine. He has previously worked as a process engineer at IQE (Europe), and he has a PhD from the University of Cambridge and a physics degree from the University of Southampton.

Reporter

Andy Extance. Andy is a reporter for compoundsemiconductor.net. He graduated from the University of Southampton in 1999 with an MChem in chemistry. Since then he has been employed performing chemical R&D in industry. Most recently he worked developing materials for packaging LEDs and other electronic devices, before joining the team in April 2007.

He has more than 13 years' experience within the advertising and communication industry, previously advising many British government departments, including the Home Office and the DTI, on effective communication strategies.

Rose Guardino. Rose has been with IOP Publishing since April 2006 and brings with her more than 25 years of sales experience, eight of which are in the advertising sales arena. She also sells for medicalphysicsweb.org and manages the B2B sales team for the Americas. Rose is located in our Philadelphia office.


Sales executive, US

Paul Russo. Paul is the sales executive for the Americas for Compound Semiconductor magazine and compoundsemiconductor.net. He has a BS in marketing from the Pennsylvania State University and has over 20 years of experience working for manufacturing and engineering firms. Paul is located in our Philadelphia office.


Recruitment sales executive

Sarah Vokins. Sarah manages all online recruitment advertising across three IOP Publishing community websites - compoundsemiconductor.net, optics.org, and fibresystems.org. Sarah joined the company in March 2008. She has a degree in German and Italian and has spent six years working in sales in the publishing and IT sectors. Circulation manager

Claire Webber. Claire is responsible for the circulation and distribution of Compound Semiconductor. She has worked in marketing roles within the publishing industry for several years, and has a Diploma in Direct and Interactive Marketing from the Institute of Direct Marketing.
