Kopin Wins Supplier Award from Skyworks
The firm has won the “Raw Materials Supplier Award” for the fourth consecutive year.
Kopin Corporation, a leading producer of heterojunction bipolar transistor (HBT) wafers for smart phones and other mobile devices, has received the 2010 Raw Materials Supplier Award from Skyworks.
The award was presented to Kopin during Skyworks' Supplier Day, held January 11 in Newport Beach, Calif., for the supply of HBT and other advanced III-V epi wafers to Skyworks' Newbury Park, Calif. wafer fab. This is Kopin's fourth consecutive award in this category in addition to a Lifetime Partnership Award bestowed in 2008.
Bruce J. Freyman, Skyworks' Senior VP of Worldwide Operations, states, "Partnership with Kopin has been invaluable during a period of rapid growth for Skyworks.
