Peregrine Awarded QML Certification

Company takes step towards offering US Government-certified aerospace and defence products 

RF silicon on insulator (SOI) company Peregrine Semiconductor has been certified as a Qualified Manufacturers List (QML) supplier, class Q (military) and V (space). 

After a thorough evaluation, Peregrine demonstrated to the US Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Land and Maritime that it fully complies with MIL-PRF-38535, the performance specification used by the US Department of Defense for monolithic integrated circuits that operate in severe environments. 

"This is a giant step forward for Peregrine's high reliability products and demonstrates our continued commitment to serving the aerospace and defense market - an industry we have served for over 15 years," says Duncan Pilgrim, vice president and general manager of Peregrine Semiconductor's high performance analogue business unit.

He added: "As we celebrate this QML certification, we're actively taking the next steps to qualify and release Peregrine's space and military product portfolio as standard microcircuit drawings." 

Peregrine offers many high reliability products for the aerospace and defense industry including RF switches, digital step attenuators (DSAs), prescalers, phase-locked loops (PLLs) and DC-DC converters, based on Peregrine's own technologies. Built on Peregrine's UltraCMOS technology on a sapphire substrate, these high reliability products offer proven RF performance and unique integration capabilities.
