Crystal IS Achieves ISO 9001:2015 Certification

New standard supports UVLED company's commitment to continuous improvement

Crystal IS, a US-based maker of UVC LEDs, has achieved ISO 9001:2015 certification for its operations and production processes.

ISO 9001, a global standard for best practices in quality management, requires that an organisation maintain specific levels of quality while also pursuing continuous, systematic improvement of the company's processes.

The latest standard, ISO 9001:2015, places a greater emphasis on a company's use of risk analysis to anticipate challenges in managing business processes. It also requires organisations to be aware of, and anticipate, the needs of company stakeholders including employees, shareholders and customers, in the development of future products.

"Many of the guiding principles of ISO 9001:2015 are already core to our practices and values at Crystal IS," said Larry Felton, president and CEO of Crystal IS. "Through continual improvement of our operations and understanding our customers' needs, we have successfully commercialised UVC LEDs that meet the price and performance requirements of our core markets."
