Osram honoured for climate-friendly tech
Osram patent portfolio wins German Society for Consumer Studies' GreenTech Award
In the evaluation of climate-protecting technologies and applications by the German Society for Consumer Studies (DtGV), Osram’s patent portfolio ranked in the top quarter of a total of 3,000 companies.
The award as Top Innovator is based on the number of patents that support mitigation or adaptation to climate change.
Osram, which is now part of the AMS Osram Group, received the GreenTech Award for its climate-friendly patent portfolio. This award honors companies and research institutions for inventiveness in relation to climate protection.
The study refers to the patent class Y02 of the Cooperative Patent Classification, which was newly created in the course of the climate discussion.
The study was based on the global number of patents granted to German companies in the period from 2019 to 2020.
