Ortel Announces Low Capacitance, Highly Linear Photodiode For High Performance Forward And Return Path Applications
Los Angeles, CA. - Ortel Corp. (Nasdaq: ORTL), today announced the Model 2650A photodiode featuring very high linearity and very low capacitance over a one gigahertz (GHz) bandwidth. Ortel s newest broadband photodiode is housed in a small and environmentally rugged coaxial package.
"Our new 2650A provides the proven high performance of Ortel s photodiode technology in a very practical, cost-effective package. This new photodiode better positions Ortel to provide our customers with superior photodetector performance in a variety of package options," said Jeff Rittichier, Ortel s vice president of marketing.
Ortel s broadband photodiode modules are designed to provide the performance and flexibility needed to meet the expanding applications of two-way communications networks. These photodiode modules are used today in several applications including AM-VSB CATV, QAM 64/256, PON, FTTC and FTTH receivers.
Ortel s line of broadband photodiode modules are on display during the Western Show, December 15-17, in the Los Angeles Convention Center, in Ortel s booth number 3113.
