Anritsu Corporation Ordered an AIX 200/4 System for Long Wavelength Laser Devices

Aachen, Germany. AIXTRON AG is pleased to announce the sales of an AIX 200/4 system to Anritsu Corporation, Atsugi, Japan, for the production of high quality long wavelength semiconductor lasers on 3x2" substrates. The devices, emitting wavelengths at 1.3, 1.48 and 1.55 microns, will be used within fiber communication networks worldwide. Anritsu is one of the major suppliers of high power EDFA pump laser devices in Japan and co-operates with a lot of companies and institutions, especially in the Atsugi area.

Mr. Tomoyuki Kikugawa, chief researcher of Anritsu, states: "For our special devices used worldwide for application in the fiber communication networks, we are convinced that the AIX 200/4 is the right system to guarantee high quality, high efficiency and high uptime"

The AIXTRON group offers a wide range of epitaxial systems for MOVPE, VPE and LPE from R&D-oriented systems up to large-scale Planetary Reactor® production systems for up to 25x4" or 9x6" wafers.
