IQE Announces Its New Corporate Identity to Unify Its Global Epiwafer Services In Support of Its Expanding Customer Base
Epitaxial Products International Limited (EPI) and Quantum Epitaxial Designs, Inc. (QED) merged in May 1999 to create IQE plc, the world s leading "pure play" merchant epiwafer supplier. IQE is committed to further improving upon the outstanding customer service and high-quality epiwafer products that each customer has come to expect from EPI and QED, as a benefit of this consolidation of MOVPE and MBE epiwafer manufacturing into one Company.
With effect from July 1 2000, Epitaxial Products International Limited (EPI) will change its name to IQE (Europe) Ltd. and Quantum Epitaxial Designs, Inc. (QED) will change its name to IQE Inc. The impact of this change is that sales and marketing activities and business transactions conducted in Europe and the Far East will now be handled by IQE (Europe) Ltd., while sales and marketing activities in North America will be handled by IQE Inc.
