GELcore Announces Agreement to Acquire ECOLUX Inc., A Leading Global LED Signal Manufacturer

Cleveland, OH. GELcore L.L.C. (a joint venture of General Electric Company and EMCORE Corporation) announced today a definitive agreement for the acquisition by GELcore of substantially all of the assets of Ecolux Inc., a leading global LED Signal manufacturer based in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Upon completion of the transaction, Ecolux s business will be operated by GELcore and its affiliates.

Ecolux is recognized as a world leader in the LED industry, offering the largest range of high-performance LED traffic control signal modules. It has built a reputation as an innovator with advanced technology solutions including Diolux™ LED modules. These LED signal products offer tremendous return on investment to end users through energy savings and reduced maintenance costs.
