Rohm and Haas Announces New Source Cylinder, Technical Sales Appointment to Taiwan

North Andover, MA. Rohm and Haas has introduced the Uni-Flo(TM) cylinder, a patent-pending cylinder that provides extremely stable vapor concentration with a standard deviation of +/- 0.001 % for solid MOVPE sources. The Uni-Flo cylinder is a suitable packaging technology for Trimethylindium, Bis (cyclopentadienyl) magnesium, and Carbon tetrabromide.
The new cylinder functions without the dip-tube used in conventional bubbler designs and provides complete saturation over a wide range of temperature, pressure and carrier gas flows. Available in 2, 3 and 4 inch diameter sizes, the Uni-Flo cylinder can be packaged with product ranging from 50 g to over 2 kg.
In more news, Rohm and Haas has appointed Dr. Harris Liao to the position of Technical Sales Manager for its Metalorganics business in Greater China and Korea. To be based in Taipei, Dr. Liao s most recent experience was as Assistant Manager of Epitaxy Engineering at Epistar Corporation. Dr. Liao joins Dr. Michael Timmons in technical sales and service for worldwide customers. Rohm and Haas also announced the opening in October of a local warehouse in Hsin-Chu, Taiwan. Local capabilities for analytical and film growth verification are planned for the end of 2000.
