PerkinElmer and CENiX Partner to Develop Next Generation of Optical Networking Technology

Boston, MA. PerkinElmer, Inc. (NYSE:PKI), announced today it is launching a strategic partnership with CENiX Inc., a leader in the design and manufacture of high-speed optoelectronic interfaces. The partnership will focus on the joint development and strategic supply of high-speed components, 10 and 40 Gbit high-speed receivers and receiver product technology for advanced optical networks. These high-speed products support high-bandwidth Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM) and Synchronous Optical Networking (SONET) systems for telecom and datacom applications.
