Hillsboro, OR. TriQuint Semiconductor, Inc. today announced the release of the TQ7125 and TQ7625 Power Amplifiers for the cellular Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA) handset market. TDMA is a popular digital phone standard in the Americas, supported predominantly by AT&T Wireless Services in the US. These devices offer the phone designer true tri-mode TDMA (IS-136/54 standard) operation resulting in a phone capable of operating in more geographic markets. Both devices offer significant savings to the phone designer providing advantages in size, cost, and performance.
Operating from a single power supply as low as 2.75 volts, these devices allow designers to eliminate voltage regulators from the phone design thereby lowering the bill of materials and saving physical board space in the phone. Both devices achieve excellent power-added efficiency providing for longer battery life and talk-time in phone applications.
