TriQuint Semiconductor Announces the Samsung Electro-Mechanics Company -- SEMCO -- Has Selected its CDMA Amplifier Die for Use in Their Newly ntroduced Power Amplifie
TriQuint s Die and Samsung s Design Expertise Combine to Make a State of the Art CDMA Handset Power Amplifier Module
Hillsboro, OR. TriQuint Semiconductor (Nasdaq:TQNT) is pleased to announce that Samsung Electro-Mechanics company has selected TriQuint s CDMA power amplifier die for use in their power amplifier modules for use in cellular handsets. This, and other products for the IS95/98 standard are being designed by TriQuint under a development agreement known as CDMA 345.
The SEMCO module has superior RF performance and is in the process of being designed into several phone models both in Korea and in the rest of the world.

Samsung have developed a family of highly competitive PA modules, which we expect will do very well in the CDMA market place," Rupert Prince, Director of Marketing for TriQuint said today.
Both the SEMCO modules, SP1121NA and SP1122NA for CDMA/AMPS and AMPS respectively use TriQuint CDMA PA MMICs and have achieved industry best performance.
Samsung s K.R. Lee, Vice President RF communications lab, states, "The SP1121NA and SP1122NA are our first power amplifier module offerings and we have achieved significant performance advantages over the performance of the modules currently on the market.
