Plenary speakers announced for CS-MAX conference in July (Headline News)

Experts in the field of high-volume manufacturing of compound semiconductor devices will share their knowledge with the rest of the industry this summer at the Compound Semiconductor Manufacturing Expo (CS-MAX). As detailed in the box , speakers from the most innovative compound semiconductor fabs, including Vitesse, Nichia and Honeywell, will headline the plenary sessions at the conference. CS-MAX is a new event for the compound semiconductor industry, designed to play the role that Semicon West and related shows play for the silicon industry namely, an annual showcase for new ideas about increasing fab productivity. The inaugural CS-MAX will be held at the Hynes Convention Center in Boston, Massachusetts on July 911, 2001. CS-MAX will offer a technical program with approximately 100 papers on high-volume manufacturing of compound semiconductor devices, organized into five tracks: microelectronics, laser diodes and fiber-optic components, LEDs, epitaxy and characterization. The event will also include the industry s largest equipment and materials exhibit, featuring all of the major suppliers to compound semiconductor fabs. Several workshops, tutorials and free seminars will also be offered. CS-MAX is sponsored by Compound Semiconductor magazine and Institute of Physics Publishing. More information about the event is given on page 42 of this issue, and is also available on the conference Web site at www.cs-max.com.
