Qusion collaborates with university (Fiber News)

Qusion Technologies, a new telecom component manufacturer aiming at monolithic integration of optical components on a single chip, has announced its close collaboration with Peter Delfyett, Professor at the University of Central Florida School of Optics/CREOL (Center for Research and Education in Optics and Lasers). Professor Delfyett will officially act as a research consultant, combining his and Qusion s research and development efforts in the integrated components field. Qusion Technologies aims to create integrated optical devices for 40 Gbit/s systems and beyond. This news comes at a time of major expansion for the company which recently announced the opening of a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in North Brunswick, New Jersey, as well as the closing of its first round of financing of $9.5 million dollars.
