Endwave receives transceiver order (GaAs NEWS)

Endwave (Sunnyvale, CA) has received a multimillion-dollar order from DMC Stratex Networks to design and manufacture custom millimeter-wave transceivers. Operating in the 28, 29 and 31 GHz frequency bands, Endwave s GaAs-based transceivers will be integrated into DMC Stratex s XP4 family of point-to-point wireless radios for use in cellular back-haul applications and last-mile broadband wireless access. XP4 radios are designed for low-cost wireless networks, and offer transmission capacities up to 45 Mbit/s in frequency bands up to 38 GHz. "We are pleased to add DMC to our customer list, and believe this represents the beginning of a long-standing, mutually beneficial relationship," said Ed Keible, Endwave s president and CEO. "Our manufacturing capabilities and millimeter-wave engineering expertise are well matched to meet the company s diverse, volume supply requirements."
