Orders for MBE and MOCVD equipment (Materials and Equipment)
Procomp Informatics (Hsinchu, Taiwan) is further ramping up its production capacity with the purchase of several additional Aixtron 2600 G3 reactors, to be delivered within 2001. These reactors make up part of the company s order for a total of 10 systems, and will be used in the manufacture of PHEMTs and HBTs. Motorola has ordered several MBE reactors from DCA Instruments, to be installed in Motorola s facility in Tempe, AZ. The company has ordered a DCA 450 MBE system for compound semiconductor growth, in addition to a DCA M600 MBE reactor and a UHV PECVD system for growing oxide materials. All systems are expected to be delivered this year.
