Celeritek amplifier drives modulators (New Devices)
Santa Clara, CA. Celeritek has developed a new driver amplifier for external lithium niobate modulators targeting 10 and 40 Gbit/s applications. The CMM2030-BD wide-band pre-driver amplifier is based on a GaAs PHEMT process and offers an output power of 23 dBm. The wide-band operation allows coverage from 30 KHz to 32 GHz, with a linear gain response of 11 dB. In addition, a reduced internal jitter figure makes it well suited to high-speed data applications. When used with the company s CMM3020-BD amplifier, an output voltage of 7.5 V peak to peak is achieved. Samples are available in gel packs and priced at $90 in quantities of 5000. www.celeritek.com
