Palomar automates RF assembly (Product Showcase)
Palomar Technologies new RFA cell fully automates the precision assembly of RF power amplifier components. With a placement accuracy of 1012 m, the system is designed for void free assemblies using eutectic die attach methods. Known as HotRail, Palomar s assembly cell increases the throughput by preheating components on a feed conveyor system using mesas or HotRails. A clamping mechanism holds the headers in place at the eutectic temperature to achieve precise placement of die for subsequent wire bonding with consistent wire loop profiles.
