TriQuint LNA suits CDMA handsets (New Devices)
Hillsboro, OR. TriQuint has released the TQ3M31, an analog and CDMA cellular and PCS band dual-band LNA. The device offers tri-mode, dual band CDMA (IS-95 standard) operation resulting in a phone capable of operating in all geographic markets. Housed in a leadless 3 3 mm package, TriQuint s device features low power consumption and operates from a 2.7 V power supply. On-chip integration of mode and gain select functions allows a choice of CDMA or AMPS modes and the ability to adjust the gain and current consumption. The TQ3M31 can also be combined with the company s TQ5131 and TQ5631 mixer ICs to form a complete tri-mode RF receiver front-end. In the cellular mode, the gain is typically 13.0, and 13.5 dB for the PCS frequency, with noise figures of 1.4 and 1.5 dB, respectively. The IP3 power output figure is 10 dBm for cellular and 8 dBm for PCS bands. The device can be purchased for $1.50 in 1000 quantities. www.triquint.com
