LumiLeds increases range of SMD LEDs (New Devices)
OPTO PRODUCTS San Jose, CA LumiLeds Lighting has augmented its range of surface-mount (SMD) LEDs with blue, green and orange devices, which it says complement the red and amber emitters released last year. Applications include automotive dashboard backlighting, as well as full-color video signs and general indicators. The blue and green emitters employ InGaN for the active regions, while the orange LED active region is AlInGaP-based. Operating at 20 mA, typical intensities of 220 mcd are available for the orange, 200 mcd for green and 100 mcd for the blue LEDs. www.lumiledslighting.com
