Velocium Gets New HQ And Design Lab (Fiber News)
Velocium, the company recently formed by TRW to commercialize GaAs and InP optical networking and wireless components, has opened a 50 000 sq. ft headquarters and product design laboratory. Located in El Segundo, California, the facility is close to TRW s recently completed InP production line, which produces InP components for wireless and fiber-optic applications. Dwight Streit, Velocium s president, said, "We re bringing TRW s advanced technology to market just when the telecom industry is seeking the high-speed solutions made possible by InP."
