Further action in Cree, Hunter $3 billion lawsuit

North Carolina's version of Dynasty rumbles on, with three further events on June 26 relating to the $3 billion lawsuit filed by Eric Hunter and his wife against Cree and Hunter's brother Neal.
First came a statement from Eric Hunter (see Statement from Eric Hunter, Former CEO of Cree, Inc.).

This statement goes into details about some of the allegations made by Eric Hunter, including those regarding Cree s relationship with C3. The statement also refutes comments made by Neal Hunter in a local paper suggesting that Eric Hunter is undergoing psychiatric treatment and has been prescribed anti-psychotic drugs.

Subsequently, it was announced that Eric Hunter had filed additional charges against Cree (see Eric and Jocelyn Hunter File Additional Charges of Harassment Against Cree, Inc.).

Later that same evening, Cree issued a press release saying that it has filed a motion to dismiss Eric Hunter s lawsuit (see Cree Seeks to Have Eric Hunter Lawsuit Dismissed).

Cree s motion says that Eric Hunter s lawsuit "utterly fails to allege any specific acts of wrongdoing".

Spokesperson Fran Barsky of Cree said, "Despite Eric Hunter s continued unsupported accusations to the media, Cree intends to respond to his allegations in court.

"The investing public and media should closely compare statements Eric Hunter and his counsel make to the media to documents actually filed in court by him and other parties."
