StratEdge undergoes management buyout

StratEdge, a company that designs and produces packages for high-speed semiconductors, has reached an agreement for a management buyout of the corporation.
StratEdge was previously funded through a venture capital firm and is now privately held through the management buyout group.

All key operations staff will be retained at StratEdge s corporate headquarters in San Diego, CA as well as at its manufacturing plant in Taunton, MA. All products, product development and deliveries are unaffected by the change.

"The new structure will result in a more stable and customer-driven organization," commented Timothy Going, former VP sales and marketing and new president of StratEdge.

"StratEdge will continue to maintain the high standards and deliver the quality products for which we ve been known for the past decade. We are in the process of developing more cost effective high performance packages and enhancing our assembly and test capabilities."

Besides Going, StratEdge will be managed by executive VP John Robichaud, who will head operations at the Taunton division and international sales; Don Taber, who retains the position of VP of engineering and general manager of the Taunton division; and Casey Krawiec, who has been promoted to director of North American sales.

StratEdge, founded in 1992, designs, manufactures, and provides test and assembly services for a complete line of high performance semiconductor packages. The devices operate from DC to 50+ GHz for the high-speed digital (OC-48, OC-192, OC-768), mixed signal, broadband wireless, satellite, point-to-point/multipoint, VSAT, and test and measurement industries.

With plants in San Diego, CA and Taunton, MA, StratEdge offers ceramic, low cost hermetic SMT, and metal packages. The San Diego division of StratEdge is ISO 9001:2000 certified.
