Rohm Drives Nissan And Honda's SiC Inverters
The chipmaker is using separate device technologies to help improve efficiency in electric-powered cars for each of its compatriots.

Japanese semiconductor manufacturer Rohm has moved ahead of Toyota in automotive applications of SiC by entering into development of power modules with Honda and Nissan.
Each agreement involves testing inverter modules based on Rohm s chips that convert direct current into alternating current for use in an engine.
