Neo-Neon `wanted The Best MOCVD Tools`

Neo-Neon is to use Aixtron's CRIUS system in the development and production of blue and green light emitting diodes.

Neo-Neon has asserted it needed the world s best MOCVD tools in order to guarantee the increase in production it desired for its factory. The LED-based lighting company is set to use Aixtron s AG Close Coupled Showerhead CRIUS systems in the 31"x2" wafer configuration to develop and produce ultra-high brightness blue and green light emitting diodes [LED]. Ben Fan, chairman of Neo-Neon, explained the systems have now been installed into its five-story facility at its mainland China production plant. "Aixtron convinced us through the quality of their engineering, processes and local support that the CRIUS system was ideal for our blue/green LED production needs," he stated. Neo-Neon s research and development team – along with its production staff – are in charge of the tools and will work closely with the Aixtron local support team, Mr Fan concluded.
