Dresden plays host to another successful Plastic Electronics conference and exhibition

The Plastic Electronics Foundation and IntertechPira are pleased to announce it was another successful year for the Plastic Electronics conference and showcase.

 

With over 400 attendees, 30 sponsors/exhibitors and 30 academic posters as well as the presentation of the coveted Plastic Electronics Awards for Innovation, the show provided a valuable opportunity for science and industry to meet and discuss collaboration to move the industry forward.

3-days of expert presentations and networking

 

The show took place over 3 days (27-29 October 2009) at the Maritim Conference Center in the heart of Dresden, Germany.

2009 Awards for Innovation

 

+Plastic Electronics magazine in conjunction with the Plastic Electronics Foundation presented this year’s Plastic Electronics Awards for Innovation at the conference and exhibition.

 

A drinks reception took place following the sessions of day 2 of the event where delegates and exhibitors mingled before Sara Ver-Bruggen, Editor-in-Chief of Plastic Electronics magazine took to the stage to announce the presentation of this year’s coveted awards.

 

And the winner is…

Outstanding contribution to plastic electronics (sponsored by Cambridge Display Technology)
WINNER = Dr. Ching Tang, Doris Johns Cherry Professor of Chemical Engineering of the University of Rochester for his work at Kodak (presented to Jim Buntaine in Dr. Tang s absence)
