Enbridge & First Solar to Open the Largest Photovoltaic Facility in the World

The Sarnia Solar Project will be expanded from 20 megawatts (MW) of capacity to 80 MW making it what the two firms say is the largest operating photovoltaic facility in the world.

Enbridge and First Solar have completed the expansion of the Sarnia Solar Project from 20 megawatts of capacity to 80 megawatts (MW) making it what they say is the largest operating photovoltaic facility in the world.

To celebrate this milestone, Enbridge will hold a Grand Opening celebration in Sarnia, Ontario. Enbridge and First Solar representatives along with the Ontario Energy Minister, Hon. Brad Duguid, will be on-hand after the formalities to speak with the media.

A conference call will take place on October 4, 2010 at 8:30 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. EST at 5115 Blackwell Side Road, Sarnia, Ontario to discuss this latest development.
