Rohm to showcase newest "Power & Smart" solutions at CEATEC 2011

The firm will present results regarding its silicon carbide and nitride LED products at the conference taking place between October 4th and 8th at Makuhari Messe in Tokyo, Japan.
Rohm will showcase its SiC and GaN semiconductor technologies at CEATEC 2011 on the theme of "Power & Smart -- Next-Generation Devices Create Future!"   Rohm Perform health checkups anywhere, anytime. Wearable pulse wave sensor and UV sensor. The presentation will feature the "Power Solution" accelerating the future of energy, the "Lighting Solution" providing the ideals of lighting, the "Sensing Solution" supporting comfortable and convenient lifestyles, and general-purpose devices contributing to sophisticated and miniaturised devices of all types. Rohm will introduce these concepts in a variety of demonstrations and presentations. Visitors to the Rohm booth, 7F02, will be able to see for themselves the company's total solutions that are environmentally friendly and contribute to the realisation of a safe and comfortable society. Main exhibits will include SiC semiconductor devices with superb properties, including reduced energy loss and high thermal resistance, which make it possible to design efficient and compact equipment. Expectations are rising for use of the devices in a variety of new applications, including electric vehicles, solar power generation, wind power generation, and railway and industrial equipment. Rohm will introduce the newest family of its industry-leading power device business that it says has unlimited potential. Rohm will also exhibit its LED lighting solutions which combine energy saving and high quality and employ only integrated semiconductor manufacturing. The technologies range from chip LED to power supply modules and driver ICs. Rohm will also showcase at CEATEC 2011, the power of its group in the next generation of lighting equipment, including AGLED series products from Maruzen Electric Co., Ltd. (to be renamed AGLED Co., Ltd. from October 1, 2011), and new OLED lighting products from Lumiotec.
