Vixar develops multitasking VCSELs

The 670nm to 1000nm III-V based Vertical Cavity Surface Emitting Lasers (VCSELs) come in a variety of packages for multiple applications.
Vixar is building a reputation for designing and developing "hard to do" VCSELs for new applications.

The company has invested heavily in 680nm (red) VCSEL technology, becoming the first to offer product in single mode and multi-mode packages along with multiple VCSELs in power array formats with additional investment in 770nm to 795nm as well as 850nm to 895nm wavelengths.

Vixar is leading the transition from edge emitting lasers (EELs) and LEDs to VCSELs, providing improved product performance along with greater cost efficiency.

The firm believes it is uniquely qualified to provide multiple markets with leading technology for defining applications such as gesture recognition, medical sensors, laser therapy, proximity sensors and driving plastic optical fibre.

Vixar will be at the booth # 74404 2014 International CES show in Eureka Park, Venetian Hotel and Conference Centre in Las Vegas Nevada from January 7th to 10th, to hear about the latest technology trends and new market applications for VCSEL technology.
