Advantech Wireless boosts production of GaN PAs and block up converters

Advantech Wireless has announced that it has increased its production capacity of GaN technology based solid state PAs and block up converters in order to meet high market demand. The company has also made its most popular list of GaN-based products available on short delivery time.

Cristi Damian, VP business development at Advantech Wireless said: "Market response to our innovative GaN-based solid state PA offering in the last several years, has exceeded the production capabilities. As a result, we have added additional manufacturing capacity to be in line with the demand."

Awarded Teleport Technology of the year 2014 by the World Teleport Association and "˜Vision Award' as Most Innovative Product of the Year 2013, the SapphireBlu series of ultraLinear GaN based HPA Systems from Advantech Wireless offers the highest linear power available in the market.

In addition to what is claimed to be the widest variety of field-proven GaN-based PAs on the market, the company offers a line of compact and lightweight block up converters for mobile applications (units are typically 50 percent smaller, with up to 70 percent less power consumption and up to 30 percent less heat generation).

All Advantech Wireless GaN based products can be fitted with Ethernet, SNMP, Telnet, Web GUI and/or CLI interfaces. These new systems are redundant ready with no external controller required, perfect for single carrier, multi carrier and multi transponder uplinking.
