Dow to discuss quantum dots at SID Conference
Dow Electronic Materials will be discussing emerging display technologies at Society for Information Display (SID) Display Week 2015 in San Jose, CA, May 31 - June 5, 2015. SID Display Week is an annual worldwide event showing advancements in electronic display technology.
Among the highlighted materials will be Dow's Trevista cadmium-free quantum dots, which are part of a global licensing agreement with the UK's Nanoco Group. These QDs can be tuned to meet customer requirements for a wider colour palette and improved colour saturation, according to the company.
"Dow's Trevista Quantum Dots bring a whole new view on colour to LCD displays and we are pleased we can deliver this stunning, new technology to our customers and to the market," said Andrew Lee, display technologies global business director in Dow Electronic Materials, who will be introducing the company's display business portfolio at the show.
He added: "Trevista is one example of how Dow is focused on current and future requirements in electronic materials to address emerging trends, working closely with customers to understand their product roadmaps, and meeting the performance demands of the next generation of electronic devices."
