Analog Devices launches 2 - 50GHz distributed power amps
GaAs MMIC chips target wide range of instrumentation and comms uses
Analog Devices has launched two GaAs MMIC distributed power amplifers, the HMC1127 and HMC1126, covering the frequency range of 2-50 GHz.
Said to simplify system design and improve performance by eliminating RF switches between frequency bands, the HMC1126 and HMC1127 are based on a pHEMT design.
Each amplifier incorporates I/Os that are internally matched to 50Ω, facilitating integration into multi-chip modules.
The amplifiers and are suitable for instrumentation, microwave radio and VSAT antennas, aerospace and defence systems, telecoms infrastructure, and fibre-optic applications.
