SCI announces $450,000 Thin Film Solar order
SCI Engineered Materials, a manufacturer of advanced materials for physical vapour deposition thin film applications, has announced it has received an order for more than $450,000 of thin film solar products.
"We are very pleased to receive this order from one of our thin film solar customers in Asia who recently resumed operations after idling production in 2013," commented Dan Rooney, president and CEO.
He added: "Based on this order and recent indications from multiple customers, we believe this is the beginning of a period of consistent growth for the thin film solar market. Our long-term strategy of developing business in Asia continues to progress and recent events, bolstered by last month's Paris Climate Conference landmark agreement by 195 nations to systematically reduce greenhouse gas emissions, underscore the importance of our ongoing commitment to the thin film solar market."
