III-V Lab to run photonics training sessions
III-V Lab, a joint industrial research lab between Nokia, Thales and CEA-Leti, will deliver three training sessions on photonics around strategic domains: 'Digital Infrastructures' and ‘'Safety, Security & Space’.
This is part of its role as a Demo and Experience centre as one of 36 partners in the EU PhotonHub PHACTORY project, which is considered a one-stop-shop for photonics innovation in Europe.
"Photonics is an important lever for strengthening Europe’s industrial autonomy. With these trainings, we want to empower businesses to embrace these technologies in order to accelerate their innovation and conquer tomorrow's markets.”, says Jean-René Bois, chairman and managing director of III-V Lab.
III-V Lab is convinced of the capabilities of photonics in terms of potential innovations and wishes to convince local actors of the relevance of integrating it into their products. As an industrial research laboratory, III-V Lab is at the heart of an ecosystem between university research and industry.
III-V says that by explaining the steps of simulation, design, manufacturing, packaging and measurements, photonics will become accessible to all.
The training sessions are as follows.
- On-site training : 29 January 2026 at Palaiseau, France (9:00-17:30)
- Digital Infrastructures Webinar : 6 February 2026 (10:00-12:00)
- Safety, Security & Space Webinar : 6 February 2026 (14:30-16:30)
