Silanna unifies semiconductor and UV businesses under single brand

News

Silanna has merged its semiconductor and UV operations under a single corporate identity to accelerate innovation in analog, laser driver and UV LED technologies.

Silanna has unified its operating companies, Silanna Semiconductor and Silanna UV, under a single corporate identity as part of a strategy to strengthen its technology portfolio and simplify customer engagement.

The company will operate through three technology divisions: factory-configurable analog-to-digital converters (ADCs), ultra-efficient laser drivers for LiDAR and range finding applications, and UV LEDs for chemical-free disinfection of water, air and surfaces.

Silanna will retain its R&D centre in San Diego, California, alongside its epitaxy and wafer fabrication facility in Brisbane, Australia, while continuing to support customers through its global sales, representative and distribution network.

The company said bringing its semiconductor and UV technologies together under one brand will enable it to accelerate innovation, expand customer support and provide a single point of engagement across its technology platforms.

"Silanna has always focused on solving complex engineering challenges through deep expertise," said Rob Lobban, Managing Director of Silanna. "Bringing our semiconductor and UV technologies together under one brand will strengthen how we deliver for customers."

The move reflects the company's long-term strategy to commercialise advances in semiconductor engineering and materials science for industrial and commercial applications.
