nLIGHT Launches 400W Passively-Cooled Laser
e24i simplifies system architectures of direct diode, solid-state, and fibre lasers
nLIGHT, a Vancouver-based company that makes semiconductor and industrial fibre lasers, has announced the introduction of the element e24i, a 400W fibre-coupled laser in package small enough to fit in the palm of your hand.
“The e24i represents a major step forward in power, brightness, and packaging for a semiconductor laser,” states Michael O’Connor, general Mmanager of nLIGHT’s Semiconductor Laser Business. “This product enables our customers to scale to new power levels with favourable economics.”
The element e24i greatly simplifies system architectures of direct diode, solid-state, and fibre lasers for industrial, microfabrication, and defence applications. It delivers an impressive 400W of output power at 915nm or 375W at 976nm from a 200µm fibre. “nLIGHT is committed to enabling our customers with differentiated products that further their growth and competitive advantage,” adds O’Connor.
The nLIGHT element e24i will be shown at Photonics West, February 5 – 7 in San Francisco, California.
