Oxford PV gears up for volume
Perovskite solar technology company announces second in a series of equipment orders from Meyer Burger
Oxford PV, the UK-based perovskite solar cell company, has placed another order with Meyer Burger for perovskite top cell production equipment.
This equipment will be integrated with the turnkey 100 MW silicon heterojunction solar cell line that Oxford PV ordered from Meyer Burger in August 2019. The order additionally includes development work on both line and process integration.
Frank P. Averdung, CEO at Oxford PV commented: "Oxford PV’s move to commercial manufacturer is building momentum. We now have the orders placed for our first 125 MW perovskite-on-silicon solar cell manufacturing line."
All equipment purchased from Meyer Burger will be fully integrated and installed at Oxford PV’s industrial site in Brandenburg an der Havel, Germany. The complete production line will commence perovskite-on-silicon tandem solar cell production at the end of 2020.
