BluGlass appoints new CFO

News

Strengthens leadership team with finance executive Rob Ambrogio

Australian semiconductor developer BluGlass has appointed finance executive Rob Ambrogio as CFO to lead the business’ finance functions through its next phase of growth and transformation.

A chartered accountant, Ambrogio has more than two decades’ experience leading high-performance finance teams in high-growth public, private and Not-for-Profit enterprises. Ambrogio has previously held CFO roles at ASX-listed investment company Gowing Bros Limited, employment and training firm MTC Australia Limited, and leading Australian marketing agency Creative Activation. During his time at Gowing, Ambrogio managed assets of more than $300 million, and he was key to Creative Activation’s successful acquisition by Clemenger Group.

BluGlass executive chair, James Walker, said: “Rob is an excellent addition to the BluGlass team, and will be instrumental as the business prepares for commercialisation and profitability. Rob’s extensive experience in strategic and finance leadership, risk management, corporate governance and M&A considerably strengthens our executive leadership team and will be invaluable as we bring our Silicon Valley semiconductor fab fully-online. His demonstrated track record in overseeing business transformation and delivering significant shareholder value complements Jim’s expertise and will be critical as we transition BluGlass to revenue generation.”

Commenting on his appointment, Ambrogio said: “I’m delighted to be joining BluGlass at this pivotal time in the business’ growth. I look forward to supporting BluGlass as it capitalises on its cutting-edge technology to emerge as a global leader in the photonics and semiconductor industry.”
