Aixtron receives excellence award from TI

Company awarded for new G10-GaN MOCVD system
Aixtron has received the 2022 Supplier Excellence Award from Texas Instruments (TI) for its new G10-GaN MOCVD system for producing GaN-based power devices.
The new system offers a new design with significantly reduced clean-room footprint requirements. The official market launch of the G10-GaN is scheduled for later this year.
Felix Grawert (pictured above), CEO, and president of Aixtron SE said: “Aixtron has grown out of its roots in niche markets and with this award, TI acknowledges our position as a major semiconductor equipment supplier capable of supporting their high-volume manufacturing ramp in GaN power electronics."
“TI looks to Aixtron to help us serve our customers, achieve our priorities, and ultimately become a company that we are personally proud to be a part of and one we would want as our neighbour,” said Rob Simpson, VP of Worldwide Procurement and Logistics at Texas Instruments.

Secure Your Hydrogen Supply
A study supply of high-purity hydrogen is critical to semiconductor fabrication. Supply chain interruptions are challenging manufacturers, leading to production slowdowns and stoppages. On-site hydrogen generation offers a scalable alternative for new and existing fabs, freeing the operator from dependence on delivered gas.Plant managers understand the critical role that hydrogen plays in semiconductor fabrication. That important job includes crystal growth, carrier gas, wafer annealing, and in the emerging Extreme UV Lithography (EUV) that will enable new generations of devices. As the vast need for semiconductors grows across all sectors of world economies, so does the need for high-purity hydrogen.
