Power players to converge at PCIM Asia 2023

News

Fair will cover electrical transportation technology, new energy development, power electronics applications and WBG devices

PCIM Asia 2023 returns from 29 – 31 August 2023 at the Shanghai New International Expo Center. In addition to the exhibition, the fair will cover four areas of the power electronics industry, namely, electrical transportation technology, new energy development, power electronics applications and WBG devices, among other fields.

PCIM Asia will bring together experts in power electronics, intelligent motion, renewable energy and energy management, with new exhibitors this year include Onsemi, NOVOSENSE, Sharetek, Ganext, AOS, Redpower, Marching-power, Second-auto, Yangjie, JSAB, Advanced, Nippon Light Metal, Tianyu, Semi-Future and QUICK. The event also has continued support from the following five sponsors: Mitsubishi Electric, Semikron – Danfoss, Fuji Electric, Infineon and Rohm.

The four concurrent forums will feature a range of guest speakers from industry and academic institutions including Tsinghua, Tongji and Shanghai Jiao Tong universities.

Electrical transportation technology in the Industry 4.0 era

Speakers from universities and research institutions such as Tsinghua University, Tongji University, Northwestern Polytechnical University, Tongji-CRRC Joint Research Center for Innovation, Shanghai ABB Engineering, Shanghai University will analyseChina's shift towards electrical transportation technology. The event will unveil the latest developments in the field and conduct interactive discussions on topics such as domestic railways, electric vehicles, intelligent motion control, marine engineering and electric UAVs.

New energy development under the carbon peak and carbon neutrality goals

This forum will explore the prospects and key technologies around new energy development and use under China’s 'dual carbon' goals. New energy power generation technologies will be explored such as wind, solar, hydrogen and marine energy, electricity conversion, energy storage and control technologies.

Industry experts, academics and manufacturing professionals will take part from organisations and institutions including Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Shanghai Lingang Power Electronics Research Institute, Sungrow, Hopewind, Shanghai Electric, SHPT and more.

Power Electronics Application Forum

In this forum sponsored by Indium, Nexperia and WeEn, over 30 exhibitors will analyse the latest power electronics application market trends, showcase new product releases, discuss industry best practices, conduct product demonstrations and engage in business matchmaking.

WBG Devices Zone & Forum

This event will focus on the Wide Bandgap Devices market, supply chain and technologies including SiC and GaN power devices.

PCIM Asia is jointly organised by Guangzhou Guangya Messe Frankfurt Co Ltd and Mesago Messe Frankfurt GmbH.
