Instrument Systems joins MicroLED Industry Association

Company joins new association to accelerate implementation of μLED technologies
Instrument Systems, a Munich-based manufacturer of high-end light measurement technology, has become a member of the MicroLED Industry Association (MIA).
CEO Markus Ehbrecht says that joining the MIA is a logical continuation of the company's long standing involvement in standardisation committees, and cooperation with leading metrology institutes.
The MIA was founded last year to accelerate the implementation of μLED display technologies. The association brings together companies, researchers and organisations active in the μLED industry, and provides a forum for solving common technology problems, promoting collaboration and sharing information, resources and tools.
Instrument Systems offers systems such as the camera-based LumiTop 4000 and LumiTop X150 which target optical measurements for various μLED arrays and displays. In combination with a high-precision CAS 140D spectroradiometer, adaptive live calibrations can be realised, based on the spectral properties of the test specimen. In addition, the measurement can be synchronised with the power source of the μLED, according to the company.
Secure Your Hydrogen Supply
A study supply of high-purity hydrogen is critical to semiconductor fabrication. Supply chain interruptions are challenging manufacturers, leading to production slowdowns and stoppages. On-site hydrogen generation offers a scalable alternative for new and existing fabs, freeing the operator from dependence on delivered gas.Plant managers understand the critical role that hydrogen plays in semiconductor fabrication. That important job includes crystal growth, carrier gas, wafer annealing, and in the emerging Extreme UV Lithography (EUV) that will enable new generations of devices. As the vast need for semiconductors grows across all sectors of world economies, so does the need for high-purity hydrogen.
Take control with Nel on-site hydrogen generation.
