Pragmatic appoints executive VP of engineering

John Quigley bring 35 years of expertise to UK flexible semiconductor pioneer

Pragmatic Semiconductor, a UK-based pioneer in flexible IGZO semiconductor technology, has appointed John Quigley as executive VP (EVP) of engineering with responsibility for technology development, IC design and applications engineering at the company.

With a career of over 35 years in the semiconductor and technology sector spanning engineering, operational and leadership roles, Quigley brings new technical expertise to Pragmatic, in addition to experience leading and scaling technology and product portfolios.

Most recently Quigley was SVP of research and development, microprocessor and microcontroller engineering at NXP Semiconductors, with operational and leadership responsibility. During his decade-long tenure at NXP, he spearheaded the technical leadership of much of the company’s RF and mobile product portfolio, including overall engineering leadership for their RFID product and secure mobile platform portfolio.

Prior experience includes global engineering and leadership roles at Quantenna, Ikanos Communications, SiRF Technology, and Airgo Networks following almost 15 years at Motorola. Quigley has relocated from the US to the UK to be based in the company’s headquarters, in Cambridge.
