Kurt J. Lesker launches new Thin Film Deposition System
2017 PVD75 PRO platform can be configured to meet unique requirements
Kurt J. Lesker, a US manufacturer and distributor of vacuum components and systems, has introduced the new 2017 PVD75 PRO Line series of thin film deposition system.
The new series builds upon the successes of the workhorse PVD75, according to the company, with some added innovations.
Like the original PVD75, the new series is available for magnetron sputtering, electron beam evaporation, and thermal evaporation, but the 2017 PRO Line has been redesigned so that scientists can also configure the system to meet their unique requirements.
This is done by selecting from the multitude of standard options possible with this tool. Scientists can choose options such as HiPIMS and pulsed DC sputtering, high temperature (up to 1000 degC) heating options, ion assisted deposition, zero footprint clean room installation, glove box interface, and "˜smart' system monitoring and control.
Despite its enhanced options, the 2017 tool will be priced below the previous version the PRO Line system, according to the company.
