Memorandum of Understanding to look at feasibility of producing CIS thin-film solar panels in Saudi Arabia

Showa Shell Sekiyu, along with 100 percent owned subsidiary company and CIS solar technology provider, Solar Frontier, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Saudi Aramco and the Saudi Arabian National Industrial Cluster Development Program (NICDP).

The MoU is for all three companies along with the Saudi Arabian government to conduct a joint feasibility study into the possibility of CIS solar panel production in Saudi Arabia, as part of an economic reform initiative known as Vision 2030.

Further developments will be announced depending on the results of this joint feasibility study.
