Custom MMIC To Show Latest Products At EuMW

New DC-18 GHz switches and MMIC amplifiers to 36 GHz on display in London 3rd to 7th October

Custom MMIC will be showing its latest MMIC switches and amplifiers at European Microwave Week (EuMW) in London this October from the 3rd-7th with UK representative, Aspen Electronics.

Products include two new GaAs MMIC switches -  the non-reflective CMD234C4 and CMD235C4 - for high military and instrumentation applications. 

The CMD234C4 is a DC-18 GHz broadband MMIC SP3T switch featuring a low insertion loss of 2.4 dB and a high isolation of 40dB at 10 GHz. The CMD235C4 is a DC-18 GHz broadband MMIC SP5T switch offering broadband performance with an insertion loss of 2.5dB and high port-to-port isolation of 40dB at 10 GHz. Both switches provide a switching speed of 66ns and an input P1dB of 21 dBm. 

It will also be showing two ultra wideband performance distributed GaAs MMIC amplifiers; the DC to 22 GHz CMD240 and 2 to 22GHz CMD241.

The CMD240 has a noise figure down to 2.2 dB and a gain of 15 dB. The CMD240 demonstrates a 1 dB compression point of 19 dBm at 10 GHz and an output IP3 of 28 dBm with 80 mA supply current. With slightly less current draw and a gain of 13.5 dB from 2 to 22 GHz, the CMD241 has a noise figure of 2.3 dB. The CMD241 features enhanced output power performance with an output P1dB of 21 dBm.

Both the CMD240 and CMD241 are matched to 50 ohms, and the CMD241 includes on-chip DC block capacitors.

Also at the show will be a 26-35 GHz balanced driver amplifier, the CMD243, which offers 15.5 dB of gain. The CMD243 also provides an output P1dB of 21 dBm, a low noise figure of 4.4 dB and is 50 ohm matched. The CMD243 is suitable for communications, military, and space applications.
