Strategy Analytics: Global automotive growth sets stage for 'Innovation Ignition' in Israeal

News

The consistent and unbroken growth profile of the automotive industry is increasingly emerging as a magnet for electronics and technology companies worldwide. "From safety and autonomy to connectivity, telematics and artificial intelligence, cars are increasingly seen as the focal point for IoT innovation", says Roger Lanctot, Director of Automotive Connected Mobility at Strategy Analytics.

Safety and the electrification of powertrains are driving vehicle-related electronics volumes. Infotainment and telematics, meanwhile, is on a growth trajectory of its own driving semiconductor adoption and software deployment in cars at a record pace "“ while vehicle sales growth steadily upward globally.

With hundreds of startups targeting a wide range of industries the community of entrepreneurs focused on automotive opportunities stands out for its creativity, enthusiasm and its emphasis on core technologies encompassing automated driving, vehicle connectivity, software updating, security, navigation, insurance and driving behavior. Strategy Analytics is hosting an event, May 16th, called Innovation Ignition to highlight and quantify emerging and promising opportunities, discuss market entry challenges and answer questions regarding the future of connected and autonomous cars.

Roger Lanctot will be the main speaker sharing Strategy Analytics market insights and forecasts regarding connectivity, automated driving and emerging mobility services. In addition the event will include a fireside chat with special guests:

Onn Haran, CTO, Auto-talks will address global V2V communications opportunities including applications and supporting hardware and software and the 5G vs. DSRC debate.

Sean Ir, Co-Founder and Vice President of Marketing, Cellepathy will address the problem of distracted driving in a smartphone-obsessed world and his organization's unique B2B perspective and life-saving solution.

David Wiernik, President, NNG and Oren Betzaleli, Executive Vice President Products and Marketing, Harman International will discuss the practical challenges of bringing connected and autonomous automobiles to the market and how their organizations have been and are overcoming these challenges.

Another special guest from Rothschild Global Advisory will join Roger on stage to separate fact from fiction in the world of M&A which is helping transform into a nexus of connected and autonomous vehicle development. The conversation with Rothschild will serve as a reality check for startups and market leaders in the automotive industry.
