Singulus wins Chinese order for CIGS systems
Additional order for TENUIS II wet-chemical coating production systems
Germany's Singulus Technologies has signed a contract to supply several CIGS production systems of the type TENUIS II for wet-chemical coating processes with the subsidiary of a major listed energy company and manufacturer of solar modules from China.
Stefan Rinck, CEO of Singulus said: "This additional order for CIGS production systems confirms our leading role in the field. Our company offers solutions for all important steps in the manufacture of CIGS solar modules."
The patented buffer layer coating technique from Singulus represents a highly promising and efficient approach to the wet-chemical coating of CIGS thin-film solar modules, according to the company.
The second generation of TENUIS production systems has a modular cluster design, which both significantly reduces the footprint and permits the simultaneous one-sided coating of two substrates. The new, unique concept for metering and temperature control brings a further reduction in processing time, yielding the advantage of a substantially higher throughput for the production system.
