UK-based GaN power amplifier specialist moves design and lab facility to Shipley

Diamond Microwave, a specialist in high performance GaN-based microwave power amplifiers, has relocated its design and laboratory facility to the historic Salts Mill in Saltaire, near Shipley, in the UK.

"Our new location offers us attractive surroundings within a UNESCO World Heritage Site, much closer to good national rail links and only 20 minutes from Leeds Bradford International airport. Saltaire and Shipley have excellent local facilities, and have a history of developing innovative electronics businesses." said Richard Lang, managing director of Diamond Microwave.

Diamond Microwave specialises in GaN-based solid-state power amplifiers (SSPA) customised for use in demanding high-reliability defence and communications applications.

The amplifiers offer high power performance coupled with a power-to-volume ratio which is amongst the highest in the industry for such products.
