In the lab, the company has achieved 26 percent power conversion efficiency It has also secured over 10 patents from the US Department of Energy (DOE). These include: Efficient and stable p-i-n structured perovskite solar cells, Organo-metal halide perovskites and methods of making the same; Multi-layered perovskites, devices and methods of making the same; Compositions of chiral molecules and perovskite nanocrystals and methods of making the same; and Methods for producing perovskite halide films.

PeroNova plans to launch several pilot programs in the US later this year with space tech companies and real estate developers. The collaboration with real estate developers will bring large-scale implementation of Building Integrated PV (BIPV) and agrivoltaics across the country.

"Launching PeroNova marks a significant milestone in our journey to redefine the landscape of renewable energy through advanced perovskite technology. Our team has diligently worked to create a best-in-class American-made product that offers affordable and reliable renewable energy globally," said Min Chen, co-founder, CEO and CTO of PeroNova.

Alongside this strategic launch, PeroNova has announced the appointment of Peter H. Diamandis as an inaugural member of its Advisory Board where he will advise on product design, commercialisation strategy and investor relations.
